IMartz verdict

Pros

  • Very strong value: 27 inches, 1440p, IPS and up to 320 Hz for less than €230
  • Good SDR brightness and surprisingly high contrast for an IPS panel.
  • Very comprehensive ergonomics.

Things to consider

  • Very basic HDR, with no real brightness improvement over SDR and inaccurate PQ/EOTF tracking.
  • Uniformity could be better, especially brightness and color, with some visible backlight bleed depending on the unit.
  • Advanced overdrive lowers response time but introduces considerable visible overshoot.

A good fit if…

  • Those seeking a fast 1440p monitor for competitive gaming without spending much.
  • Users who want 300/320 Hz, good color and good SDR brightness at an affordable price.
  • Budget or value-focused setups where ergonomics and refresh rate matter a lot.

Consider another option if…

  • You want a real HDR experience or a monitor with deep blacks.
  • Overshoot really bothers you and you want excellent response times without artifacts.
  • Quality control from a Chinese brand such as KTC concerns you.

Test note · EOTF tracking

The monitor renders midtones somewhat darker than the reference and compresses highlights at its limit. The deepest shadows are raised and grayscale tends warm, so HDR mode does not reproduce the curve accurately.
