MONITORGARAGE

Best Monitors for PS5

Monitors with PS5-compatible VRR and 120 Hz at their native resolution recorded on their monitor page. The selection compares features and available prices, from affordable options to OLED and Mini LED, and updates automatically.

PS5 supports up to 120 Hz: a panel's 240, 360 or higher refresh rate does not, by itself, improve its place in this console selection. Each option shows its documented PS5 modes; a 1440p panel that accepts a 4K signal is still a 1440p panel.

Our requirements for recommending a PS5 monitor

PS5 VRR compatibility must be explicitly recorded on the exact model's page. HDMI 2.1, FreeSync or PC VRR are not substitutes. We also require a PS5 mode at 120 Hz at the monitor's native resolution. If either detail is missing, the model is excluded, even when no alternatives are available.

The selection preserves the distinction between hands-on reviews and official specifications. Documented VRR and 120 Hz support do not, on their own, confirm every HDR combination or a stability test; check the conditions on each monitor page.

To check your connection, open Settings → Screen and Video → Video Output on the console. Sony explains how to check resolution, 120 Hz and VRR.

Each section may include several suitable options at similar prices. Pages based on official specifications retain their notice that a review is pending.

Preparing the selection using available prices…

How these options are selected

Performance and price are compared using the monitor finder's engine, according to the requirements and search budget for each use. A monitor appears only once on the page.

Options are grouped by the amount used for budget calculations and sorted from lowest to highest price within each band. A price change may also change the group. Each option's heading explains the use it was selected for.

In both 1440p guides, the main options and alternatives come from hands-on reviews. Other formats prioritise hands-on reviews and may use specifications where coverage is limited or for an alternative at a similar price. Unreviewed models carry a notice and appear in their price band. “Only reviewed” hides them without replacing or reordering the other options.

Reference amounts are shown as indicative prices and used for budget calculations; they do not confirm a deal or availability. A model without a supported price may appear separately among the monitor pages to explore. Confirmed lack of stock excludes it from both selections while that observation remains current.

The selection updates when a quote changes or expires. Amazon is normally checked every 3 h 30 min. If a refresh fails, the last successful observation may be retained for up to 24 hours, with its original date and subject to each offer's expiry. After that, the model's independent reference price is used when configured. That reference remains until it is reviewed; a new valid Amazon offer takes priority again.
