Samsung G5 G50SF
Third-generation 27-inch 1440p QD-OLED with reduced brightness and refresh rate, at 180 Hz
PanelQD-OLED
A matte surface that diffuses reflections. Light can spread over a larger area; the finish does not eliminate reflections completely.
This monitor is identified as a QD-OLED variant with reduced features. Check its specific limitations before comparing it with other QD-OLED monitors.
IMartz verdict
Pros
- Low-priced QD-OLED.
- HDR grayscale calibration is good.
- Instant response times, although with VRR flicker unless VRR Control is enabled
Things to consider
- Mediocre build quality and an outright poor stand.
- Reduced brightness and limited connectivity unless you update the firmware.
- Factory calibration could be better; confusing, unintuitive menus.
A good fit if…
- It is the cheapest OLED you have found by a clear margin over the next option.
- You like a matte finish on QD-OLED.
- You do not mind the cutbacks in brightness, construction and other areas.
Consider another option if…
- You want deep blacks like the OLED TVs on display in stores.
- You want spectacular HDR.
- A 240 Hz QD-OLED or WOLED costs 40-50 euros more.

HDR performance
Brillo pico, volumen de color, EOTF y experiencia HDR real.
Test note · EOTF tracking
In small windows, midtones track the reference well, but the deepest shadows are slightly darker. As the lit area grows, available brightness falls and some midtones and highlights are darker than intended: very bright scenes lose impact. In the 10% test, the updated firmware behaves very similarly.
